Bangkok

Bangkok is a sprawling metropolis with magnificent temples and palaces, authentic canals, busy markets and a vibrant nightlife that has something for everyone.  With almost 50 districts, Bangkok offers some mesmerizing experience for travelers. The city is known for its wholesale shopping and happening nightlife experience.

If you have some good bargaining skills, Siam Square is a place for you. Full of glitzy malls and hotels, Siam Square is a hardcore commercial place for all electronics and fashion apparels. Pratunam is more like a street shopping area with lots of variety and fun. The next big thing in Bangkok is its nightlife; Silom and Sukhumvit are the place for it. Places like Soi Cowboy, Nana Entertainment Plaza and Patpong are the few names.

The city is also a cultural heritage; there you will find some really big and peaceful Buddhist temples including Wat Arun and Wat Pho alongside the Chao Pharya River. A boat ride or dinner cruise is a must in Bangkok. Other places include Dusit, famous for its political institutions and the monarchy, floating market and national museum in Thonburi.

Bangkok is well connected to other parts of the world via Suvarnabhumi Airport. From Phnom Penh and Siem Reap, one can easily find buses to Bangkok. Distance from Siem Reap is more than 400kms and buses take around 6 hours and from Phnom Penh it is 670kms and buses take around 14 hours.

Bangkok’s public transportation is fairly good too. One can always take taxis and tuk tuks for reasonable trips. Though buses and metro rail connectivity is also commendable in the Bangkok city.
